CONCRETE REPAIR
Don't Replace. Restore.

Give your concrete a second chance. We at Platinum Concrete Coatings are experts on structural concrete repair & protection. We use industrial-grade epoxy technology to bridge cracks, rebuild stairs, and save you thousands over replacement.
Your concrete isn't dead, it's just damaged
- Driveways and Flatwork Pop-OutNorth Idaho and Spokane Valley driveways frequently suffer from ``pop-outs``, small cones of concrete that break away due to aggregate expansion or freeze-thaw. These are hundreds of small divots make the surface look like the surface of the moon. Platinum Concrete Coatings repairs these by using by filling with industrial-grade materials that outperform traditional cement patches.
- Stair RestorationCrumbling steps are a safety hazard and an eyesore. But tearing them out is a massive construction project. We use structural epoxy pastes to sculpt broken edges and corners back to their original profile, harder and stronger than before.
- Pool Deck RestorationDon't let cracked, hot concrete ruin your summer fun. Our pool deck restoration process goes beyond simple painting to structurally repair and upgrade your surfaces. We begin by sealing cracks and applying a flexible waterproofing membrane that prevents water intrusion and protects the concrete from the harsh freeze-thaw cycles of North Idaho. For ultimate comfort, we apply a specialized Solar Reflective Finish. This advanced technology uses infrared-reflective pigments to significantly lower the surface temperature of your deck, keeping it cooler underfoot than standard concrete. We finish the system with a durable, textured seal that provides essential non-skid traction—ensuring a safe, slip-resistant surface for wet feet while resisting damage from pool chemicals and UV rays.
- Boat Ramp RepairA slippery, pitted boat ramp is a disaster waiting to happen. We repair the surface erosion caused by wave action and apply a specialized overlay embedded with aluminum oxide aggregates. The result? Maximum traction for your truck and your feet, even when wet.
- Foundation Crack RepairFoundation cracks threaten your home's structural integrity. We utilize a specialized low-pressure epoxy injection system to heal the wall from the inside out. By installing injection ports along the fracture and pumping high-strength epoxy resin deep into the void, we effectively ``weld`` the concrete back together, creating a bond that is often stronger than the original foundation itself. This process not only restores the load-bearing capacity of your walls but also creates a permanent, waterproof barrier that prevents ground moisture from seeping in.

Frequently Asked Questions
That “4x stronger” claim refers to the flexibility (tensile strength) of the plastic itself, not how well it sticks to concrete. A flexible coating that peels off the floor is useless. A coating is only as strong as its bond. Our system uses a hybrid approach: we use Epoxy for the primer because it bonds to concrete better than anything else, and we use Polyurea/Polyaspartic for the topcoat to give you that “4x stronger” toughness on the surface where you need it. We use the best material for each layer, rather than forcing one material to do everything.
A 1-day floor often looks fine on day one, just like a tent looks sturdy until the wind blows. The difference is what’s happening underneath. 1-day systems cure so fast they don’t have time to penetrate the concrete pores, leading to a weak surface bond. Our multi-day process allows our epoxy primer to soak deep into the slab for 8-12 hours, creating a permanent mechanical bond that resists peeling and lifting. We trade speed for strength.
Old-fashioned epoxies did, but we don’t use epoxy on the surface. We use Polyaspartic as the topcoat. It is “aliphatic,” which means it is chemically stable under UV light. It acts as a sunscreen for the floor, ensuring the epoxy and chips underneath never yellow or fade, even if you leave your garage door open.
A typical 1-day system is about 10-15 mils thick. Our system is 25-30 mils thick. That extra thickness acts as a sacrificial wear layer—it’s more material protecting your concrete, which means it can take more abuse, deeper scratches, and heavier impacts without failing.
