Frequently Asked Questions

That “4x stronger” claim refers to the flexibility (tensile strength) of the plastic itself, not how well it sticks to concrete. A flexible coating that peels off the floor is useless. A coating is only as strong as its bond. Our system uses a hybrid approach: we use Epoxy for the primer because it bonds to concrete better than anything else, and we use Polyurea/Polyaspartic for the topcoat to give you that “4x stronger” toughness on the surface where you need it. We use the best material for each layer, rather than forcing one material to do everything.

A 1-day floor often looks fine on day one, just like a tent looks sturdy until the wind blows. The difference is what’s happening underneath. 1-day systems cure so fast they don’t have time to penetrate the concrete pores, leading to a weak surface bond. Our multi-day process allows our epoxy primer to soak deep into the slab for 8-12 hours, creating a permanent mechanical bond that resists peeling and lifting. We trade speed for strength.

Old-fashioned epoxies did, but we don’t use epoxy on the surface. We use Polyaspartic as the topcoat. It is “aliphatic,” which means it is chemically stable under UV light. It acts as a sunscreen for the floor, ensuring the epoxy and chips underneath never yellow or fade, even if you leave your garage door open.

A typical 1-day system is about 10-15 mils thick. Our system is 25-30 mils thick. That extra thickness acts as a sacrificial wear layer—it’s more material protecting your concrete, which means it can take more abuse, deeper scratches, and heavier impacts without failing.
